Many women in our program have never held a steady job, written a resume, learned to use a computer, or even finished high school. Further, there is tremendous stigma attached to their status as ex-offenders. Our employment counselor guides each resident through the process of getting and keeping a job and/or attending school. She also refers them to other service agencies for vocational training and on-going career development. Residents are required to budget and manage their spending and maintain a savings account. Every woman receives computer training in our on-site computer lab, learning valuable skills to prepare them for today's technologically driven work environment
