Home About Us Program Elements The Women News and Events Resources Get Involved

The number of women in prison is increasing at a staggering rate. Almost all of them will re-enter the community at some point, and the way they re-enter will help define whether they return to prison or become law abiding, contributing citizens.

Our comprehensive program offers a continuum of re-entry services designed specifically for non-violent female offenders. Program elements combine to create:

  • a safe and supportive residential community
  • skill building achieved in “real world” settings
  • a gradual transition, freedom with structure and support

Because the majority of female offenders are mothers, increasing their odds for successful re-entry also helps prevent their children from entering the same cycle of abuse, addiction, crime and incarceration. Our entire society has everything to gain from the humane and compassionate treatment of female offenders.
